Sweet & Busted by J.B.

I’ve bruised my brain like you could a blueberry

with all the dope.

Cracked my psyche like cherries cracked

when dropped.

Mangled and shredded my body like that mango

on Gallahger’s stage.

Lacerated my nose to spite my face like a lemon

ready for a cocktail.

Torn myself apart at the seams like a tangerine

to share with all.

Cut my heart in two like a cantaloupe

too many times to count.

In the end and after it all, I do make one

crazy fruit salad.
